I found funny this notice in a restaurant. It is telling the customers to be careful not to make loud noises when taking care of their nose. Japanese are not very noisy in this aspect, on the other hand, my experience tells me that they do not refrain too much when it comes to burping in public.

Blowing your nose in public is a big no no, at least that’s what I think. Oh and he’s doing it right above his cup of ramen, yummy ^^

As Yonasu-saif said, “blowing your nose in public is a big no no.” However, sluuuuurrrrrrrrrrrpppping raman is proper Japanese manners, and there are extra points for projectile vomiting afterwords!

Blowing your nose in public is rude, loud inhalation of mucus (sorry, don’t know how else to describe it) is acceptable. Go figure!
