iPhone queue in Tokyo

I went this morning with Dannychoo to check out the iPhone queue in the main Softbank store in Harajuku. It’s impressive, there is already people lining up for tomorrow! Did you get an iPhone today? will you wait? you don’t care about the iPhone? Here there are some pictures of the queue I took:

Aoki, Haruhiko and Akira from Sony were almost at the end of the queue, I wonder why they don’t get a Sony-Ericcson phone 😉

Danny is hiding a bunch of iPhones inside his armor. Btw, he is on CNN.

I found Roy and Brad more or less in the middle of the queue, they are waiting since yesterday! I hope they get an iPhone, they looked really tired.

In the background, very far away, if you look carefully you’ll be able to see Steve Jobs head, he was also lining up since yesterday 😉

In his dream he can see an iPhone falling inside his bag

Wow – I know the Japanese are crazy for hi tech and are early adopters, however i didn’t think they would go for American technology in such a way.

Long long queues for iPhones in Australia last night and today, but to line up for two days for a phone is a bit much.

I’ll wait until they have been out for a bit before i think about buying one. Still haven’t got an iPod yet (although I do have an MP3 player) so i might go for one of those first.

You know, I have that Sony Ericsson (SO906i Bravia, Docomo) phone mentioned in the caption. I would so choose it over the iPhone for the moment. Osaifu-keitai, and 1seg missing on the iPhone for one thing, and I think I would miss the keyboard – isn’t it difficult to text on the iPhone?

LOL I saw that CNN broadcast wiht Danny it’s awesome seeing something on the news where you know way more than they are boradcasting.

que, cue, waiting line?

Either way, I remember when Leopard was released, supposedly the #1 software selling in all the US on release day… we went to the mall and got a copy, hardly anyone in the store, mostly employees and weirdos waiting for a free t-shirt.

Could just wait like the rest of the world and get it slightly later. It’s not like in 6 months Stevie (wonder) Jobs isn’t going to come out with a NEW IMPROVED 1/16th slimmer iPhone which will re-do the whole cycle again.

“Kind of smart from the Apples to kick out their iPhone release last year with a “just a taste” phone to later “re-invent” it after a few months and slashing product prices to make it look inexpensive! GENIOUS I FUCKING TELL YOU!”

So much for all those out there who said the Japanese didn’t want the iPhone. I’m surprise that my wife wants one too. She went by the Apple store on her way to the office and called to let me know the line was long.

outside new york city there were lines tonight. People had to wait only 3 hours and they weren’t promised that they’d get an iPhone. Apparently after people bought them, everyone started using the store computers to activate their phones. The apple store kicked them out and made them do it at home.

I have it, stood in line for 5.5 hrs here in Sweden, I couldn’t be happier now that I have it! There were 300 in line here in my city, they had to close the store before everyone got one, I’m glad I came a couple of hours early! I’m actually writing this on it, surfing on the iPhone is really nice 🙂
