I got these okome-ken (お米券). With each of them I can buy 1Kg of rice in almost any supermarket-shop in Japan. I guess it is a legacy from the war when rice supplies were really scarce. I think I have almost for 10Kg of rice 🙂

Where did you get those cards? Do they mail those?
it was a present so I don’t really know how to get them. But I guess you can buy them in any rice shop. I’ll ask
