Shiba inu

In Japan there are six original dog breeds, two of the most popular ones are the Shiba and the Akita; those of you who have played Nintedogs already know them. Hachiko dog in Shibuya is an Akita dog and this dog in the pictures is a Shiba. Shiba and Akita are similar, but Shiba are smaller.

I’ve always thought these dogs to be amazing creatures. I’d want either. I grew up with a Norwegian Elk hound that were related to huskies, so maybe there’s some kind of resemblance.

Shiba Inus are so cute and so docile by dog standards. I have one in my neighborhood and his docileness is the cutest thing ever. Then there’s an aggressive muscle-bound pitbull on the other side of the street…

I love Shiba Inus!!!!

The question is though, who was in Japan first: Shiba Inus or Japanese ppl?
