Game Center CX is a Japanese TV show where a famous comedian (In Japan comedians are used for everything) called Shinya Arino plays video games until he manages to finish them. They usually select really difficult games, so it’s funny to see Shinya’s suffering face and interesting to see how well he plays.

Game Center CX is being broadcasted since 2003, it’s so popular that there is a Nintendo DS game about the tv show and there are DVD-Boxes for each season. Shinya Arino is famous among hardcore otaku players, similar to what happens with Takahashi Meijin. There are even figures representing Shinya Arino, there is a picture of one of his figures in the the wikipedia page.

I was watching TV last week and was very surprised to see a 240 cm Chinese man together with a 74 cm Mongol man. Thanks to James from Japanprobe, who is always recording TV shows and uploading them to the net, we have available some parts of the shows where these two men were featured together.
The difference is incredible!
