Giant jellyfish are becoming one of the worst nightmares of the Japanese fishing industry. In this video they talk about the possibility that global warming could be one of the causes behind the huge increase of the giant jellyfish population in Japanese coasts.

Somebody with a good sense of humor designed this sign that is located on a street in Kyoto. It warns drivers that around the area there are “Lots of beautiful ladies” (美人多し) and because of that they should “Stop for a while” (一旦停止).

Thanks to WasabiNoise I discovered Kosai Sekine, a Japanese short film director with quite a few refreshing ideas. This is his last short film, which won the golden medal in the New York City Short Film Festival. I really like the message he wants to share and how he captures the particular atmosphere of a Japanese night in a convenience store.
