My favorite sushi at Narita airport

One of the last things that I do before leaving Japan is to eat sushi at this restaurant at the Terminal 1 of Narita airport (4th floor). There are several sushi restaurants at the airport but this one is my favorite. This last time, the chef told me that he’s been working there for more than 30 years! Also he told me many anecdotes about travelers that have eaten sushi at his restaurant, some of them famous people, and some of them businessmen that looked like “James Bond” (that’s how he told it to me).

Here you have the exact place where the sushi restaurant is located inside Terminal 1.

Since 16 years ago I used to always buy a box to take on to the plane.

I can’t remember if it was the same restaurant. The terminal shopping floors were remodelled a few years ago, and everything was moved around.

As an Englishman, I haven’t yet accepted sushi for breakfast.

How depressing. How is it possible that a good sushi restaurant located on grossly overpriced piece of real estate (a.k.a. busy international airport in Japan) charge LESS than crummy fake sushi restaurants in New York / New Jersey area in the U.S.?

Thanks for sharing! I’ll definitely keep this place in mind if I ever have layover.

The display looks familiar. I like sushi, but as often as I’ve been to Narita, I always end up finding something else to eat. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from.
